History

Founded in 2004 Futunity UK has continued to go from strength to strength,

The philosophy behind the creation of Futunity UK was to break down the elitist barriers surrounding sport and dance, and make it available to everyone, from the absolute beginner to the advanced and professionals.

The company initially set up a consultancy provided quality sports coaches and dance teachers just to schools, sports centres and youth clubs before then starting street dance classes in a local gym.

In June 2008 we were fortunate to secure our own dance studios in Uxbridge and established our dance school, specialising in street dance and hip hop but also incorporating ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, pole fitness, and breakdancing.

The consultancy continues to run alongside the school and Futunity also now gives its name to a successful gymnastics and free-running club.

Over the past ten years, we have seen many of our students grow as performers but also as individuals, something we are very lucky to have experienced and pride ourselves on.

Some of our dancers and gymnasts have been with Futunity UK for many years and have evolved with the company. Numerous of our alumni students are working within the performing arts sphere; some as teachers but many continuing their further education specialising in dance and other areas. Successes over the past ten years have included student places at Sylvia Young Theatre Arts, Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, Masters College, Urdang and The Brit School. Specialising in the Hip Hop genre of dance, much of our success circulates this area; such as results from numerous UDO Competitions, as well as Chris and Wes’ triumphant win in the 2011 Sky One competition ‘Got to Dance’.

We are so proud of our students’ achievements big or small, following each one of them closely and welcoming them back whenever they are around to pop in.
